The Benchmarking Report

In conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Active People Healthy Nation Initiative, the League of American Bicyclists regularly publishes the Benchmarking Report on Biking and Walking in the United States.

The Benchmarking Report collects and analyzes data on bicycling and walking for the nation, all 50 states, and 76 large cities including the largest city in every state. The Benchmarking Report combines original research with over 20 government data sources to compile data on bicycling and walking levels and demographics, safety, funding, policies, infrastructure, education, public health indicators, and economic impacts.

It is a go-to resource for public officials, advocates, decision makers, and researchers.

Over 100 data tables are available and updated at data.bikeleague.org, in addition to all content from the 2018 report.
