DC Cycling Concierge is offering a variety of bike tours and rides throughout the National Bike Summit. These are unique opportunities offered only to Summit attendees, offered at various times throughout the Summit outside of the conference program. Space is limited so sign up now! 

Participants must have their own bike and helmet. Helmet use is required. Bike rentals can be made through Bikes to Borrow -  which is offering Summit attendees a special 3-day Summit rate of $85.50 on their Classic Bike Rental. They also offer 24 hour rentals and conveniently provide complimentary locks and helmets upon request.

RIDE AND TOUR DESCRIPTIONS
All rides and tours depart from the Renaissane Hotel courtyard, unless otherwise noted.

Civil Rights Ride:  Casually paced ride with multiple stops exploring DC’s African American history and civil rights progress. Uniquely created and offered by DC Cycling Concierge, this is a ride not to miss. Cost is $30 // 8-10 miles // 2 ½ - 3 hrs // 10 mph avg or less.

Orientation Ride: Get the lay of the land with this casually paced ride around Washington D.C.  Participants will visit the Summit Conference site, Capitol Building, House & Senate buildings, nearby Metro stations, and some of the Mobile Workshop sites. Have fun rolling around D.C. and meeting other Summit Attendees by bike.  FREE // 5-6 miles // 1 ½ - 2 hours // 10 mph avg or less.

DC’s Best Sights at Night Tour:  A must for anyone visiting D.C.! You'll enjoy D.C.’s iconic monuments and memorials brilliantly illuminated against a dark night sky all by bike. These are not your typical D.C. tourist hours, don't miss this unique opportunity. Cost is $30 // 8-10 miles // 2 ½ - 3 hrs // Casual pace with frequent stops.

Rising Tides of DC: Explore the geographic landscape and history of D.C. and learn how climate change is going to affect D.C. more than just about any East Coast city in the years ahead. More reason to be on a bike!  Cost is $30 // 10 miles // 3 hrs // Casual pace with multiple stops. 

Fast Fitness Group Road Ride: Start your day with a heart pumping, leg churning fitness ride on low volume roads and popular trails in the D.C. region. You'll rideR ST, McArthur Blvd, Sangamore, and the Capital Crescent Trail and/or Hains Point. FREE // 20 miles // 1 ½ hrs // 16+ mph avg. 

D.C.’s Alternative Sights & Neighborhoods at Night Tour: Hop on this fun, casual and yummy ride through D.C.'s popular neighborhoods. Casual pace with multiple stops including ice cream, gelato or sorbetto! Cost is $30 // 8-10 miles // 2 ½ - 3 hrs // 10 mph avg.

Ride to Wednesday Night Spins in Crystal CityRide will depart from outside the Hart Senate Office Building, site of the Summit Congressional Reception.  The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Vornado/Charles E. Smith and Crosshairs Cycling host an indoor bike race every Wednesday night in March. The course is fast and fun for all abilities, providing great viewing and happy hour drinks in the Washington Wine Academy beer and wine garden. Weekly prizes for top finishers. FREE RIDE // 5-7 miles // 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.  Registration is required to participate in the Spins. Spectating is free.
